How to improve perfomence while loading a page in IE6

hi,

iam using updatepanel with updateprogressbar the problem is that when i load from IE6 the page loading is very slow but in Mozilla it is fast.
My session is outProc and the View-state is managed in session.to boost the performance
but no improvement the interesting thing is that there is no images in the page.
can any one suggest a solution for this issue and a tool to monitor performance in IE6
