Hello all,

I'd like to create my own custom node or folder list that will let me intereact with some other software. For example: My custom list will display a list of folders from a folder structure, WebDAV or EDM system. A user could then drag'n'drop emails to folders in my custom node. I've seen this achieved in a commercial product, so I know it's possible. I suspect a custom mail provider was used as they were unable to change the icons (all icons looked likes standard mail folders.) I'd like this list to exist in the left-most Outlook window (a.k.a. the Folder List or Navigation Pane), in-line (above or below) the Inbox node.

I've not found information about this anywhere on the web yet (and it's not supported by EZNamespaceExtensions either.)

The closest I've found is this RSS code but the screenshots are too course for me to be sure and I can't get the code to compile in Visual Studio 2010.

If I go down the route of a custom mail provider, I guess I would have to create a custom mail-provider-service too?

I'm open to any and all sugestions.

Regards,

Ben
