Hi,

We are giving integrated email system to a C# Application in which sending email is very familiar with SMTPClient or so. But we are finding difficult to create something to receive the email.

One of the method I found is to use third party components that I found on sourceforge and other is to use Outlook's dlls. I am sure there was nothing in .Net 2.0 but is it continue in 4.0 framework.

Can someone suggest where should I go.

Thanks & best Regards

Here is a C# example of receiving emails that could also be useful to check.

1 solution

Office interop assemblies are available for .NET 2.0, they are not exclusive to 4.0.

I agree, I was really not looking to use it as I was looking for some database driven custom solution for my client. If there will be no hope. It would be my last option.
