declaring index for all segments(existing and also for future segments

Could you please help me witht eh requirement:
I have index[0] for segment 1 and so on. Segment has 8 roes under it. And now, I must declare index for all segments which are useful also later for new created segments in the same grid. I am working on c# windows applications, infragistics,and also the program works on SQLDB. Please help. I could not find any reference code to indexes on Google and am new to infragistics. Thank you very much.
