In my website, i have chosen save username and password when I was logged in. Now each time in my application wherever I have username and password textbox, it displayed data from cookies.

How can I prevent it??

Thanks in Advance.

1 solution

use autocomplete property

<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Width="365px" autocomplete="off"></asp:TextBox>

but the above seem to be not working, see the below scenario..
We have published the site without autocomplete off and user saved the username and password in cookie and after some days we implement autocomplete = off. Now if you load the app on machine where the username and password already saved, it loads them by default. If you clear the cookie then its working as we expected.
So reply me how to fix the above scenario.. check both IE and Firefox
