Hi,

I'm doing Excel Automation using Office 2007.

What if the Client PC to which I will install my program using Office 2003 or lower, will there'll be effect such as error or missing components?

Solution 1

That depends on the interface you use and thus the functions you call. I suggest to generate a Primary Interop Assembly (PIA) with an "old" version of Microsoft Office - that will work with newer versions also.

The excel spread sheet was use only for displaying the records, no excel functions was use. I also generated a PIA. If i'm not mistaken, I included PIA in the creation of a Setup of my application.
