Hi friend,

How to install the guidance package Project type, to create a new Smart Client Application in Visual Studio 2008.
which assemblies we need to install for that guidance package Project type. I already installed the following (included with the software factory):

The Composite UI Application Block
TheEnterpriseLibrary
but it is not shown Smart Client Application Template. Please send to me manual process...?

If is Silverlight or what? (Otherwise it's pretty difficult to make is "smart".) Or it's a desktop application working via HTTP?

I also did not ever see such template, but this is because it can be anything. Please describe the type of application you need and explain your problems.

Hi,

If you want to use SCSF as template to build you own Smart Client application i suggest you to use this[^] release, because 2008 version has been retired[^]. On given link you can download latest release which is made to be used with VS 2010...

To get SCSF template in VS you need to install:
1. Guidance Automation Extensions (GAX) 2010 (Visual Studio Gallery site)
2. Guidance Automation Toolkit (GAT) 2010 (Visual Studio Gallery site)
3. Refer to QuickStart folder (solution) found within zipped source available for download[^] on mentioned codeplex site for more info about creating your first project...
