Export to Excel from grid view with colspan

Hi,

I want to export data from gridview for that i have used StringWriter, but my problem is i am using colspan and rowspan in gridview as neccesity. Data is exporting to excel but not correct. It is due to the colspans and rowspans. The exported data in excel in not catching the colspans and rowspans.

No any tool or controls can be used for this export.

Anybody knows the solution...

have you tried using the RenderControl method of the Gridview when exporting to Excel?

yes i'm using renderControl method
