I have a 32BIT DCOM (self registering executable) object and C# program using it. It was fine on XP but cannot use it on 64BIT Windows 7.
I registered it with \regserver and keys were added under wow64. I compiled C# program for platform x86. Attempts to access the object return error 80040153. When I navigate to “DCOM Config” I get an error stating that my executable “has the name value AppID, but is not recorded under \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppId. Do you wish to record it”. The error does not go away whether I select “Yes” or “No”. I am getting the same error from “DCOM Config” on my XP box but I still can acces my DCOM.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kris
