Selection Formula in crystal reports 9

When a selection formula is given based on a summary value being greater than 0,
i.e. a summary of a group

(Sum ({sp_New_Schedule;1.YearOpen}, {@CatFirCode})+Sum ({sp_New_Schedule;1.T_Db}, {@CatFirCode})-Sum ({sp_New_Schedule;1.T_Cr}, {@CatFirCode}))<>0.0

some records with value = 0 are not being filtere while some are.
Why is this?
