i have a web service and i want to restrict the web service.means caller use username and password to call web service .

how can i do it any suggestion?

Solution 2

Hi ,
go to your IIS Go to Authentication and enable windows authentication , Eright click on your web service and Edit permission choose security tab and ADD ISS_USERS
and dont forget to enable directory browsing .
