Preventing tabcontainer postback

Dear all,

I am sitting with a small conundrum. I am trying to use a tabcontainer on a form and using buttons to move forward and backwards through the tabs. Reason being, its design for iPad. How do i get the buttons NOT to postback and refresh the page?
