Incorrect log on parameters in crystal reports subreport

I'm trying to generate a subreport against each row of a field in the Mainreport by linking the subreports to a common field used in both the subreports and Mainreport(later suppressing that field in the subreports).

As it is, using the Subreport -> Links and selecting the desired field from the Mainreprt automatically generates a parameter field. Moreover i added a parameter from the 'Field explorer' linking that same field to da subreport; then i re-imported the subreport and from 'Change sub-report links' again selected the field to link to, the parameter name coming to be the same as the one i had added; also checking the box "Select data in the subreport based on field" and selecting da proper field to be linked to in the subreport (all to confirm da successful linking)

Still i get da message

on clicking any subreport link in da main report.

What else do i need to do to link the subreports to the Mainreport??

Please help! I'm not being ale to generate a single subreport for over 3days!
