I am looking for proper definition of mapping in SQL. I cant find any good resource from internet.
Please send me links or explain if you can.

Solution 2

Mapping is logical connection between two entities.

In SQL, you can Map
Data types[^],
Tables to Objects[^]
SQL types to JAVA types[^]

Solution 1

There is no notion of mapping in SQL.

You can map programming data types to SQL specific data types, you can map "objects" to "tables".
