I am using infragistics controls for development. I have one Web Date Chooser. I want to remove the border and the calendar selection button, so that it shoul look like a label. Is it possible??? Please help me out.

Thanks in advance

Happy Coding :)

Solution 1

How about asking Infragistics this question in stead of waiting around here HOPING that someone who has used that library wanders by and sees your question?

It's always much better to ask the people who wrote the library and have dedicated forums to that library than it is to ask here or some other generic programming web site.

Since it is a webcontrol the presentation is defined in the cascading style sheets and styling on element level. I did some tests on this control [^]. If you use the same control you can try the following.

First make a copy of the file!

Open the file 'ig_texteditor.css'

To remove the calendar selection button add to section '.igte_IGButton' the following line:
display: none;

To make it look more like a label:
.igte_IGEditWithButtons {
    border: 1px solid #E9E9E9;
    border-radius: 2px 2px 2px 2px;
    font-family: Segoe UI,Verdana,Arial,Sans-Serif;
    font-size: 10px;
    height: 26px;
    outline: 0 none;
    width: 130px;

And in '.igte_IGEditInContainer', remove:
background-color: Transparent;

This is just an example that may help you to get started. Please note that the adjustments you make affect all these controls, so this may not be the best approach. You can also override styling in the aspx control itself.
