Hi all,
Can any one help.
I have installed Sql Server 2005 on Windows 7 32 bit OS.
I am getting server not connected Error

It is as follows.
Cannot connect to KD-PC.


A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)

ok, the Best solution is : :

Go to Start Menu - > Click on Programms ->Go to SqlServer 2005->Configuration Tools->Sql Server Configuration Manager - >SqlServer 2005 Services

and start all the Autpmatic

This will work fine

Thanks Ranjith but when I opened Sql Server Configuration Manager I see only this
SQL Server Error and Usage Reporting.
Second entry[^] looks useful

Please do at least some research before you ask questions

bro, i have tried but its not working, and BTW this page is for sharing our issue and solving others, its not for putting just comment which is of no use.... like you did!!

while I agree with you in principal - re, the sharing of knowledge - I do find it extremely ironic that the solution you accepted was the first bullet point in the link I directed you to
