I wana create setup of my school project. I have a bit of confusions with creating shortcut on target pc. Is it necessary to set AlwaysCreate property of Application folder and User's desktop.

The AlwaysCreate makes sure that the folder will exist, even if you don't put files into it. Here is a link with more information:[^]

That means that you shouldn't need to set this for either folder, since they will always have files inside them.

I know it is a bit old, but all of the setting seem to be the same as they are in 2010.

if i set AlawaysCreate to false, i don't think their is any effect on setup.

Correct. That was what I was saying. That setting is only for folders you might want to add but don't want to put things into (maybe a logs file that you will fill later with log files but for now is just empty).
