Hello everyone,

My client has asked me to send a windows form via email. Form has been developed in vb .net so I'm looking for some solutions about it. The first thing come to my mind is to convert form to html and send it. I don't want pictures or pdf formats as they can't be interactive all I want is when form is export and send received user can click some checkboxes and type some text in to a textbox save it and send it back. Do you have any ideas about it?

Thanks in advance.

You can send the 3 files (YourForm.vb, YourForm.Designer.vb and YourForm.resx) from your project folder. Then you client will add them to their projects and manipulate as their needs and send back the files to you.

You can't send a windows form in any format that can be executed directly by the client, unless you attach it as a standalone program. Which is unlikely to be opened, and may well cause the whole message to be considered as spam by many filters.

You can send the form as "straight" html, but I don't think you can have interactive content in emails as most email clients will not execute Javascript anyway for security reasons.

The best approach I can suggest is HTML with a "click to fill in the details" link which takes him to a webpage. This could then be interactive.
