connect CISCO routers to oracle database

Dears,

I'm really confuse about connecting oracle database to my CISCO router, so my question is can i connect oracle 11g database to my CISCO router in order to get some information from the router to the database ?, Are there any kind of protocols which by it we can connect both of them !!!! ... please any help will be benefit not only for me but for all.

Perhaps you could explain a bit better how exactly you think that you need to connect a router to a database? What is that you hope to accomplish by doing this?

Logging to a database from a Cisco router is not a direct process. Instead, the standard process is to use a syslog server to capture the data and store it into a database. For example, we used Kiwi Syslog server to capture our Cisco device data and store it into a SQL server. Kiwi will store data into any ODBC database, which would include Oracle. Which syslog server you used would be up to you but that is how you would get the data into the database.
