So what's your question? Sockets do provide a good common ground for exchange between two different platforms but if you need more help you need to provide more specific questions.

Do you need help setting up the socket on the PC? What's the OS?
Do you need help setting up the socket on the mobile? What's the OS?
Do you need help with the screen capture?

You need to break up your problem into smaller problems and solve each piece of the pie as you go.
