Does visual studio don't have intelligence for visual c++. Can i add externally ?

Visual Studio does not have any intelligence. The intelligence is supposed to be on the other side of the keyboard.

If you really must use Intellisense (not my preference - see solution 1), then you can check your options to see whether it's disabled. The exact location may depend on your version of VS, but in VS 2010 it is in the options dialog (menu Tools->Options). There, look under Text Editor->C/C++->Advanced.

Oh, and I'll shoot anyone who dares upvote this "solution" - I definitely don't consider this the best option - I merely answered the question! ;)

You beat me to it. Way better than Intellisense!

In fact, I once was stuck on a PC with VS but without VA. I thought Intellisense should be somewhat helpful in the absence of VA, but it turned out to be so bad that I deliberately disabled it!

It's not that bad... it does have it's quirks but useful for those of us who are forgetful... :)
