Hi,

I'm using the SSRS 2012 native mode report builder. I'm adding text parameters. I'm allowing null values and assigning a default null value.

But when I run the report, the null tick boxes are not checked. I have to tick all the null checkboxes to get the report to run with its default values.

This is having a knock on effect as report subscriptions created before the report was modified with an additional parameter are failing.

Is there a bug or a problem with default nulls in SSRS 2012?

Kind Regards,

Steve

That worked like a charm, great find on this. I was looking for hours for a solution, not much info out there in regards to this issue in reports.

There was something wrong with the report definition. It wasn't updating the parameter definitions to use the default values.

After deleting the report from the server and republishing it, the default values were applied.

In addition, you need to be aware, when you delete the report, you will delete any subscriptions and other data in the report server which relates to that report. If you have a lot of report subscriptions I'd suggest publishing the report new, under a different name. Then copying the data in the Catalog table from the new report to the old report.
