If you want multiple users to use the same database at the same time, then you don't want to look at "where do I keep the file?", you wan tto look at using a databse server, such as SQL Server or MySql instead. They are designed for multiuser environments, and take all teh pain out of the process - accessing a database file directly from multiple users is a recipe for disaster until you are extremely careful, and can cause nasty problems even then.

Both Sql Server and MySql are available in free versions, which will suffice for a small instalation (and if you have a large number of users, you REALLY need to look at a server based solution, possibly with a server farm! The higher the number of users, the more pain you will get with a direct-access solution.)
