My new requirement is that the email being sent should have "permissions" set as if the user was sending the email via Outloook and using the option from the ribbon toolbar. The permission to be set is the "Do Not Forward" option.

The option I wish to emulate when sending the email is accessed here;

This appears to be an add-in option (IRM) for Outlook only. I do not think you are not going to be able to apply this to other mail systems.

Doesn't it mean that this particular option could be effective only withing a set of Outlook-only users, for example, corporate users?

Correct. My explanation was meant to say that, but for some reason I wasn't as clear.

To me, it was clear enough. I just wanted to suggest that maybe such option may make some sense in some (perhaps, over-managed :-) corporate world.

Are you implementing your own email system? Because I think that is an Outlook only option. If someone sent to a gmail account it would have no effect.
