        If CheckBox4.Checked = True Then

If something = True then '...

demonstrates the lack of understanding of something very basic in programming. Because this is the same as

If something then '...

Comparison of Boolean with True is pointless.

see that part is not my problem is it's not hitting the CheckBox4_CheckedChanged() event..

Okay.. So is it a web app or windows?

Did you check the form1.designer.vb if the event handler is generated for the particular event ?

aspnet_regiis -i 5-Nov-12 2:29am
So is the event generated?
aspnet_regiis -i 5-Nov-12 2:35am
Why have you tagged this question with 'sql server' . You should have used 'winforms' instead
snehasish nandy 5-Nov-12 2:44am
ya event is generated...
aspnet_regiis -i 5-Nov-12 3:52am
Ok.. now do one thing. Delete the checkbox from the Form , compile the project, add the checkbox again and generate the event .....

Have you used "RemoveHandler" in designer.vb or .vb file ?
