Books, or courses.
Any programming language needs a structured approach, both to ensure that all the important elements are covered, and to introduce new elements in a way that doesn't overwhelm or confuse the student. Get on a course, or get a good book on the subject and do all the exercises (you learn better by doing than by just reading)

Any good book should be fine - just avoid ones with "For Dummies", "In xxx Days" or multiple exclamation marks in the title.

They are good - or Addison Wesley as well. I don't know what your native language is, so I can't recommend one available to you.
