Actually i have one local area map i want to mark my location in one particular area in that local map.....How can i mark my location,and some information????

I want to mark my friends locations too....

Pls give article or coding related this concept.

For Example i have America map means i want to specific my location in new work...how we can do this????

It does not make much sense because this depends on the implementation. If you are only thinking about the implementation, it will depend on a particular architecture, which can be different.

I mean that you cannot ask about such a little detail when the whole architecture of mapping is not decided. Or it is simply unknown to us. Is this your project? The whole mapping application? We can only help you if we know what is it...

Actually i'm doing one small project, visualization and pattern identification for large time series. in this project we have to identify the details of some state or country or whole country...i planned to do in one single state...so in this project i won't use Google maps API...i wanna do separately using some state or country map...using this map i wanna show more comparison details such as last one year temperature in this specified area...and etc...so pls guide me...

I'm not sure this forum is a suitable way of guidance. Unfortunately, we don't have resources for detailed guidance. You see, the project is not going to be so small, due to the geographical aspect of it. Among other things, you will need to present some geographical information, a map, a chart, and associate data with it. Probably, you will need to start with some vector-graphics presentation of the chart, because it's most likely that you would need to zoom it. It depends on UI library you choose (I mean, WPF or Forms or something). And marking a particular location will be a small part of it. First of all, you will have some coordinate system, and the marked location will have a coordinate property...

No, it's not really silly, not at all.

You probably has some distorted judgement on relative difficulty and work volume on different parts of the work, but this is quite natural if you just begin and does not indicate any kind of stupidity. But, as a result, I cannot be quite sure that the whole problem is not too difficult for you — just yet. Overall, you concerns are quite reasonable. But you need to develop some more clear communication means, to be able to get help.

Now, I would gladly help you, but we need to start with something. If you ask how to show database values, it assumes that you have some database schema already. Or not? Anyway, you need to explain it: what data is there and what is its semantics. You also need to explain how do you want to present this data visually. It may be not so simple to explain in a quick question.

The second part of it is the UI technology you want to use through ASP.NET. It does not have any embedded vector 2D or 3D graphics (for some good reasons), but you would need to use something. It could be pixel graphics generated on the fly on the server side, or it could be SVG (not implemented on all browsers, may require plug-ins on user side, which limits the set of users), could be HTML5 Canvas, or something else.

You need to make some decisions on that first, before you can come to 3D view and databases...

Actually i beginner of dotnet .....I don't know the basics of oops but i know how toimplement those concept in our projects... thn my native is india...then now i'm willing to work in U.S....now i have only 2 months experience in dotnet...so when is correct time to come u.s ???? how many yrs experience minimum i have to surf a job in u.s????

Well, you certainly need to learn OOP, and pretty well, before you can get to even much simpler tasks than the one you mentioned in your question. This is the prerequisite to nearly everything, including even simple UI, graphics.., I don't know... — everything.

Fortunately, the scope of OOP is surprisingly limited. If you know everything before OOP, mastering it can take couple of week, in all the technical detail. Much more experience would take design of OOP solution for practical problems...

About job in US? You need to understand that the situation with jobs here is really lousy. I did not face with the situation when I could potentially use help from an immigrant since... maybe early 2000x (2004 at the latest). It requires working visa which not many companies can or agree to sponsor.

I have no idea about how much of experience is required at minimum, by apparent reasons, but it looks like a number of workers are hired with relatively low experience. But — it's all temporary contract job, as nearly all starting jobs these days.

To me, what is real disaster, is the discrepancy between the claimed and actual knowledge. Crowds of unqualified "programmers" really haunt the industry. Many people hiring them are themselves unqualified, often even worse. It's difficult to find a company with literate people. Companies in this country are easily go out of business, way too often.

Take it into account.
