Execute file permission after website publish

Hi,

Currently, I publish my website using visual studio FTP publish to a hosting server.

After all files are published, I need to give execute permission to one particular file. Is there a way to automate this functionality so that it would be run after a successful publishing of my website?

What I have tried:

So far I'm doing this manually, using chmod on the server, not sure if this could be automated though.

Solution 1

Since you can't execute a remote command on an FTP server, you're going to find it impossible to do that.

That's what I was thinking too, but I asked maybe someone has already been through this.
