You can't - unless the scanner is configured to supply a prefix and postfix code. The good news is that most can - but how you configure it differs from manufacturer to manufacturer. (For some, it's just a case of scanning the right bar code)

Have a look at the manufacturers website - they should have loads of relevant info!

Solution 2

The better solution is to use a barcode scanner that is not of the "keyboard wedge" type. USB, Serial or even an Ethernet-based solution works better.
