How to search dictionaries in softwares

I need to develop an applcication which can search the words for its meanings in dictionary softwares like Encyclopaedia Britannica or Encarta Dictionary.
Please let me know how to develop the same programmatically.

What I have tried:

We have to find a word manually.

If Encyclopedia Britanica or Encarta Dictionary is available on-line, you can search for the meanig of words in that "software" by calling HttpRequest. Similar question has been asked here: Collect links from websearch[^]
