I intend to usa a preview like Brad Smith did it in his article Preview Handlers Revisited | Brad Smith's Coding Blog[^] , but only in vb.net (VS2010, windows10). Of course I searched a lot in Google and other. I also translated Brad's code into vb.net, but somehow it will not display the preview. Now I am really out of my ability ( I am not a professional programmer, only for private application or doing some small programms for my company. I know there are plenty of packages to buy, but I am looking for a free solution. So if somebody can provide me a vb.net code, which I can implement into my application (display documents (Office)in a database program) it will help me so much. At the Moment I do it by converting e.g. docs, xlsx into pdf and then display it in the Webbrowser, this works well, but is too slow. As said I am looking for a solution like in the Windows Explorer preview.
I can also send my translated code from Brads article, if somebody is interested to take a look on it.
I hope so much that somebody can help me.

What I have tried:

document Office previewhandler vb.net like explorer

If you can't translate the code successfully, then create a C# class library containing the original code, and reference that from your VB.NET application.

That’s a good idea. At the moment I have no idea how to do, but I will try it. Do I have something to consider?

Richard, That was really simple to do. Thanks so much
