&i m facing one problem when i add service based database. when i click on add i getting this error "The user instance login flag is not supported on this version of SQL Server. The connection will be closed".
I m using SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition and Visual Studio 2019


What I have tried:

 i uninstall sql server and install again.

Solution 1

Look at your connection string: it's probably trying to connect using "IntegratedSecurity= true" or "User Instance=true"

Solution 2

User instances are only supported in SQL Server Express edition:

If your connection string contains either User Instance=true or AttachDBFilename=..., then you're trying to use a user instance. You'll need to manually attach the database to your SQL Server instance instead, and update your connection string accordingly.
