I want to create a report in SSRS with multiple table grouped by ID in parent table

ID = 1
--> Table 1 columns
--> Table 2 columns

ID = 2
--> Table 1 columns
--> Table 2 columns

ID = N
--> Table 1 columns
--> Table 2 columns

Is this achievable in SSRS ?

Thanks for the help

Yes its possible in SSRS.

I thought I can create a simple blogpost around your question so I just wrote a blogpost illustrating how you can achieve this.

I hope this will help you.

Thanks,
Ravi

Hi many thanks for your answer. The blog is really helpful and informative.

However in my case. I have more than 2 tables joined to the parent table. The DOB field in your example is repeating depending on the number of 'Dependants'.

What I wanted is .

Emp Name : Anil

DOB
01-01-1980

DependandName DependandAge
Sam 18
John 7

Emp Name : Ajay

DOB

DependantName Age

Wondering if this is possible rather than 'repeating DOB each time there is a dependant'

Thanks
