I have 1,000 polygons and 1,000 poly points or single points defined within QGIS 3.16
I want to add to each shape a geofence.

I want to track movement events as one gps locator moves in or out of the defined geofences.

example: a ship is transiting a 5 zone traffic separation scheme. It generates a gps position mark. I want to create an event notification as it passes from one zone to the adjacent zone (x1,000 for other relevant or localised polygon identified zones).

1 Is there a simple way of converting many 100 defined polygons into geofences?

2 Will the number of geofences necessarily being referred to limit the software's ability to process the in/out event notification? or can the software only search within a limited predefined area / or range?

What I have tried:

I can manually create a geofence for one polygon, but not use its shape to also define the geofence, and replicate the style over multiple shapes.
