Database is a storage place to store your data. There is nothing like that one database is good and another is bad. Its fully dependent on you how you will store and manage your data in the database.

According to me storing the images in the database is a bad idea. This will make the database loaded. Instead of storing the image in the database you can store the image path in the database and use the path to display your image.

In addition to your solution. I think one could consider to use NoSQL database enginesas alternative...

"Best" depends on so many factors; please provide more context.
Many will say the file system, and they may be right.

I use SQL Server Express.
