reverse pattern

* * * * *
 * * * *
  * * *
   * *

What I have tried:

import java.util.*;

public class Main {
    public static void main(String args[]) {
        // your code here
		Scanner sc = new Scanner(;
		int n = sc.nextInt();
		for(int i=0; i<=n; i++){
			for(int j=0; j<=i; j++){
				System.out.print(" ");
			for(int k=0; k<=n-1-i; k++){
				System.out.print(" *");

I think you'll make life a lot easier for yourself if your outer loop counts down from n...

So something like
for(int i=n; i>=0; i--){

While we are more than willing to help those that are stuck, that doesn't mean that we are here to do it all for you! We can't do all the work, you are either getting paid for this, or it's part of your grades and it wouldn't be at all fair for us to do it all for you.

So we need you to do the work, and we will help you when you get stuck. That doesn't mean we will give you a step by step solution you can hand in!
Start by explaining where you are at the moment, and what the next step in the process is. Then tell us what you have tried to get that next step working, and what happened when you did.

And since we have no idea what your assignment asks you to actually do ... we couldn't begin to help you if we wanted to!

If you are having problems getting started at all, then this may help: How to Write Code to Solve a Problem, A Beginner's Guide[^]

Hi! @OriginalGriff Thank for your warm answer. Firstly I am beginner and before asking doubts I have tried it to all the solution many times then I came here to ask what's wrong. That it is. Even you can see i have tried it so before commenting please check what is someone asking and why?
thank you
It really is time you stopped posting all these questions here and spent some time actually studying the language. I have already suggested once that you go to Java Tutorials Learning Paths[^] and work through the tutorials.
