Zip or Rar Files on the remote server

Hi Guys...
I developing software in C# desktop application. This project the subject is backup to remote server. I can't find any Path is file or is directory so I cant't download to files in sub folder.
How do I Zip or Rar root directory with inside files in my remote server.
