Well it all depends and I think there is no one definite answer to your question...

Your interests will shape your knowledge. Also the place where you work and what they do will influence you and your knowledge as well. As a hobby you can(should) educate yourself along with the tutorials and new technology while working(if you want to keep up with others).

But I would say first you need to understand:
*Algorithms, Data Structures, Computability
*Design Patterns,
*Software Lifecycle, Teamwork,
*in depth knowledge of at least one programming language
*an overview of programming paradigms, cursory knowledge of several languages
*An insight into how a current computer works, some knowledge of the operating system and assembler

Good luck,

According to me you should be developing some application to explore more using the latest technology like WCF, MVC, AJAX etc.

This will make you master in your domain. As I am a software developer I know there is no end to any knowledge. So try to explore more and more in your domain.
