VS 2012 - External Tool - Argument problem

In VS 2012 I am dealing with a problem:
I try to use at external tool at argument $[ItemPath] in order to get the active open file at VS 2012, but instead I get the selected file at solution explorer. Why?
Ho can I get the currently open file instead?
