You can't open a MDI child in an MDI child - a form cannot be both a MDI Parent and an MDI Child at the same time.

If you want to open another MDI Child in the same Parent from a Child, then you need to get the child to ask the parent. See here: Transfering information between two forms, Part 2: Child to Parent[^]
