multiple gridview based on record count

How do I create additional gridviews based on a record count of the dataset? For example, if my results return more than 20 records I want to create a 2nd gridview for the remaining records. While the obvious answer would be to change the underlying query, it is not an option here, as the dataset is a result of a stored procedure which I have no control over. Any help, with C# sample would be greatly appreciated.
