Asp.Net Reporting vs SSRS

Hi,

We have SSRS to view the Historical Data mostly >one year data(so probably there are billion records).

What my question is,
Will the performance increase, if we migrate it to Asp.Net reports?

What are pros, cons of Asp.Net reports comparing with SSRS.

I feel silly asking this (I don't do reporting), but aren't SSRS and ASP.Net reports the same thing?
