I have sql server and IIS on the same virtual private server. I am running both asp and asp.net applications over same database.
Asp.net application is working as expected, but I have problems executing queries with asp application. Some of the queries are executing much slower than expected. Even when I am using only asp nothing changes. Anyone knows what can cause this?

ASP or ASP.NET? They are not really related, ASP.NET is not a kind of ASP, did you know that?

You did not provide any useful information to help you. You might review your indexes, you queries, even your database schema. Too many factors may affect performance...

Can’t help much without any query code provided but sometimes you just need to experiment. Try changing referencing instances to use IP address instead of server name or just move everything to asp.net.
