Hye All.
I am Looking forward to develop an
Management System for a Client.
Client need a Desktop Application with
database file stored locally on same
computer. but also want to have the full
copy of database over internet for back-up
and other usage purposes. want to update
db from desktop application by connecting
to internet,
want two way communication (updating at
internet daily or weekly... and update local
database when needed)
all in .NET framework.
my question is that is it possible to build
that application ???? Desktop Application
With Local And Internet Database
Connected(for updating each other)?
does the .NET desktop application API
provide this feature? if yes I would like to
get details on that?
thanx in advance :)

Maybe this is what you are looking for

Microsoft® Sync Framework and the database synchronization providers
. Read this article [^]. As far as I remember, there These are MS Services to sync decentralized databases (Client dbs) with a Server automatically, using a robust, binary Format with small footprint. but, be aware, there are similar approaches out there, that must be considered depricated. I recommand not to do the sync on your own, use a Framework.
