Windows Phone Emulator Problems

I am working on app development with the windows phone 8 sdk and i cant seem to get the emulator to run when i try and debug my app can anyone offer any advice it is much appreciated.

I also am having similar problems when i try and run the emulator on my windows 7 laptop that has the 7.8 sdk and Visual Studio 2010 installed on it.
