Hi i have a web page that sends SMTP emails when it's browsed and i need to send these emails at a scheduled time. So I used the windows task scheduler to do this for me.

Question 1. Sometimes Im getting the same email several times meaning that my webpage was refreshed more than once per schedule.

to fix this i added a new step to my schedule. to close internet explorer. i created an .exe according to this (which closes all internet explorer windows when i double click on it and run it) http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/how-do-i-kill-all-the-iexploreexe-processes-at-once/

Question 2 now even though my step 1 runs in the schedule my step 2 doesn't run and close the web page.

can someone please help me with Q1 or Q2? much appreciated. thank you.

When answering a question please:
  1. Read the question carefully.
  2. Understand that English isn't everyone's first language so be lenient of bad spelling and grammar.
  3. If a question is poorly phrased then either ask for clarification, ignore it, or edit the question and fix the problem. Insults are not welcome.
  4. Don't tell someone to read the manual. Chances are they have and don't get it. Provide an answer or move on to the next question.
