can't focus on controls in tab container in asp.net

My project contains one ajax tab container with several tabs. Each tab contains different controls. I want to focus a textbox after the textchange event in the previous textbox. but when postback after data entering in the previous textbox the second textbox didnt focus, but the current tab get focused... pls help me to solve this..

Added the below code at end of the onchange event.

ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(Page, Page.GetType, "ChangeEvent", "$('#textboxID').focus()", True)
