Hi All,

But I want to write an custom attribute(property) to a file storing some information.

The file extension is *.sdf.

Any1,Please guide me if there any way to do.
It does not look like a sane idea to me. Why? And what could be a problem?

You deserve a +5 for providing that link!
Thank you, Bernhard, but this is not my finding. :-)
It's been a pretty usual comment to the question for a while. The referenced article is indeed more than relevant.

Hi Sergey,

Thanks for the reply.I have tried using dsofile.dll ,but it only supports *.docx.So was wondering if there is any other way to accomplish this.
I have no idea what is dsofile.dll. You only need .NET FCL, nothing else. Getting all information about attributes is easy (System.Reflection), but you did not answer my questions.

You need to explain exactly what you mean by a "custom attribute (property)," and "to a file."

Are you speaking of adding something into the content within a file, or are you speaking of creating what is called meta-data, as found in .jpg files, video-files, etc. ?

What have you tried so far ?
