hi,

i have the project that needs to me to develop the source code for calculate irregular shapes area,length and width for rice seeds .i have the problem to do this solution.so,can anyone help me to make the solution.My project is for detect and extract the irregular shape and must calculate the area of irregular shape...

Solution 1

Basically, you need to learn elementary mathematics, and, for curved irregular shapes, some elementary calculus. This is hardly a topic for one of few Quick Answers. In practice, you need to approximate an irregular shape with a polygon, which you should know how to measure for area and perimeter.

Rightly said Mr. SA, the above question is not a straight forward one and I agree on the fact that an irregular shape has to be approximated as the nearest polygon..
