Adding images tp windows picture library using visual studio 2012

I am developing Windows 8 app which accesses the pictures stored in the hard disk. I am getting Unauthorized Access Exception. I learnt that we can't access the the image files unless it is stored in the windows image library. So now I'm trying to add add images to the windows picture library using visual studio 2012. But I am in the middle of no where.
Can anyone help me with this???
